The Royal Institution is an independent charity dedicated to connecting people with the world of science. Science shapes our lives, our culture and the world around us. It’s the medical treatment that may save your life. It’s the device in your pocket that connects you to the world. And it’s how we will solve the major global challenges of the future. Our mission is to harness science for the maximum benefit of society. The importance of our mission cannot be overstated. It was recognised by the 58 wealthy individuals who founded the Ri in 1799 and is just as relevant today. But to achieve the full benefits of what science has to offer, we must ensure that there is a healthy interaction between science and society – something we have pioneered for more than 200 years. There are multiple ways to get involved and support the Ri and to think more deeply about the wonders and applications of science. The Royal Institution is a registered charity, no 227938.

Shaker Heritage Society

25 Meeting House Road, Albany, NY, 12211, US
Last Update: 2026-01-23

Shaker Heritage Society is an education and historic preservation organization. The Society’s mission isto enrich the Capital Region by engaging the community with the founding home and enduring values of the Shakers. We do this by working to preserve the Watervliet (Albany) Shaker National Historic District, site of America’s first Shaker settlement, and by providing education programming to encourage interest in Shaker history and its influence on American culture. The Albany site is significant for numerous reasons. Numerous Shaker technological and marketing innovations were developed here including the garden seed industry, flat broom and vacuum sealed tin cans. Shakers developed innovative planned communities that emphasized gender and racial equality. Their furniture, music and art inspired numerous important artists ranging from Nathanial Hawthorne to Pablo Picasso and Aaron Copeland. The Society is working with property owner, Albany County to revitalize the publicly accessible portion of the Historic District which includes nine historic structures & an important Shaker cemetery. The landscape retains much of its original rural character including an apple orchard, herb garden and open pastureland. The property also encompasses portions of Shaker Creek and the Ann Lee Pond Nature Preserve. The Society offers high quality educational programs for diverse audiences and its popular craft fairs support numerous local handicraft businesses. Our farm program introduces visitors to Shaker agricultural traditions through the presence of heritage breeds of turkeys, chickens and oxen.

Description

Typemill is a flat-file, Markdown-based CMS designed for informational documentation websites. A reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) exists in the login error view template `login.twig` of versions 2.19.1 and below. Description

A DOM-based Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability exists in the DomainCheckerApp class within domain/script.js of Sourcecodester Domain Availability Checker v1.0. The vulnerability occurs because the application improperly handles user-supplied data in the createResultElement method by using the unsafe innerHTML property to render domain search results.

Description

A Remote Code Execution (RCE) vulnerability exists in Sourcecodester Modern Image Gallery App v1.0 within the gallery/upload.php component. The application fails to properly validate uploaded file contents. Additionally, the application preserves the user-supplied file extension during the save process. This allows an unauthenticated attacker to upload arbitrary PHP code by spoofing the MIME type as an image, leading to full system compromise.

Description

A UNIX symbolic link following issue in the jailer component in Firecracker version v1.13.1 and earlier and 1.14.0 on Linux may allow a local host user with write access to the pre-created jailer directories to overwrite arbitrary host files via a symlink attack during the initialization copy at jailer startup, if the jailer is executed with root privileges. To mitigate this issue, users should upgrade to version v1.13.2 or 1.14.1 or above.

Description

An information disclosure vulnerability exists in the /srvs/membersrv/getCashiers endpoint of the Aptsys gemscms backend platform thru 2025-05-28. This unauthenticated endpoint returns a list of cashier accounts, including names, email addresses, usernames, and passwords hashed using MD5. As MD5 is a broken cryptographic function, the hashes can be easily reversed using public tools, exposing user credentials in plaintext. This allows remote attackers to perform unauthorized logins and potentially gain access to sensitive POS operations or backend functions.
