The Landing Dance Centre was established in August 2008 by professional dance artist, Brenna McLaud. Our mandate is to provide a safe, creative and non-judgmental environment for young, aspiring dancers and community artists in which to train, perform and choreograph. The Landing’s dance facility and customer base have both grown rapidly since 2008, and in that time, we have developed a strong reputation throughout the Lower Mainland dance community. Our programs include classes in a variety of dance styles from ballet, modern, tap, jazz, private technique and Pilates. While we believe a strong ballet foundation is important for a dancer’s development, it is the unique contemporary background of our Director and our desire to expand the artistic boundaries of dance that truly sets us apart. A host of professionally instructed master classes, workshops and dance intensives are also offered throughout the year to provide our dancers with the specialized training that will prepare them for the transition to the world of professional dance. As a central resource for the Vancouver dance community, The Landing provides young dancers with the unique opportunity to train alongside working dance professionals and choreographers, collaborating on diverse and innovative dance projects in a supportive and creative environment.
