SARAFAN SOLUTIONS is a Light Weight start-up Company. Working for larger companies we have seen the shortcoming of them from the standpoint of the Customer. For example, it was always Customer, Client, or User. It was never Bob, Allen or Susan. Too many times, we saw Clients suffer because of the size of the Large Company we worked for. Simple requests where delayed because of the overhead of the Large Companies, it took time for the company to react to the request of the Client, sometimes too late. We also watch Clients overpay for solutions for the same overhead of the Large Companies. We also had to watch as poor customer service was offered as the result of employees not having a vested interest in the customer's needs or wants. When we talked to some of the customers at their offices, they informed us that was how most IT Consulting companies worked. This hurt us personally as we take pride in our profession. Large Companies carry a lot of weight, as a result they are not responsive to change, to clients, to business needs, to anything really but their bottom dollar. Sarafan Solutions is a different view on IT Consulting. We are the company that has a simple billing plan. One that does not involve Points or Credits. You know exactly what you are paying for when you get the bill. We will not talk down to our clients, and will not only see our clients when there is a problem. We understand that business is how you provide for your Family and that nothing is more important or personal than family, especially yours. Our clients are not account numbers. Our clients are not revenue machines. Our clients are not numbers. Our clients have names and families and some even have personalities. Our clients are our friends and family. We are your Local Friendly Solution Engineers. We picked a career in Information Technology because we liked fixing things in an ever changing environment. We take pride in our work and solutions that we have deployed.

Description

ThingsBoard in versions prior to v4.2.1 allows an authenticated user to upload malicious SVG images via the "Image Gallery", leading to a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability. The exploit can be triggered when any user accesses the public API endpoint of the malicious SVG images, or if the malicious images are embedded in an `iframe` element, during a widget creation, deployed to any page of the platform (e.g., dashboards), and accessed during normal operations. The vulnerability resides in the `ImageController`, which fails to restrict the execution of JavaScript code when an image is loaded by the user's browser. This vulnerability can lead to the execution of malicious code in the context of other users' sessions, potentially compromising their accounts and allowing unauthorized actions.
