Last Update: 2025-12-13

Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts (PTPA) is a nonprofit arts organization dedicated to enriching, educating, and entertaining a diverse audience through a wide range of performing artists. The theatre serves as a cultural hub for the community and the Long Island region, collaborating with local organizations and promoting educational initiatives. Originally opened in 1923 as the largest theatre in Suffolk County, Patchogue Theatre hosts 1,100 seats. Following its rescue by the Village of Patchogue in 1996 and subsequent restoration, the facility saw significant use, hosting events. PTPA operates independently as a not-for-profit organization, leasing the building from the Village of Patchogue and covering all operational costs without financial support from the Village. The theatre is overseen by a volunteer board of directors and professional staff, and its success is made possible through the dedication of numerous volunteers, businesses, funding sources, and individuals who contribute their time and resources to support the organization.
