odyssey: An extended adventurous voyage; An intellectual or spiritual quest. Books are always a journey. They take readers into new places, with new people; or show them familiar places cast with a new light. And writers know that the creative journey can be as long and uncertain as it is exciting. We at Odyssey live for the adventures that books provide. We’re not afraid to take risks with new ideas and new writers; together, we create unique and beautiful books. Exploring new worlds and new concepts excites us, so much so that we’ll consider most genres, topics and formats. Our publications include full-length novels, novellas, non-fiction, chapbooks and remixed lit. If you would like to work with us on your voyage to publication, please visit our Submissions page. Do you get excited about DIY? We also have a custom publishing studio, for those authors who embrace a DIY ethos but want an experienced companion to join them on their journey. Please visit our Custom Publishing page for more information.

Description

ThingsBoard in versions prior to v4.2.1 allows an authenticated user to upload malicious SVG images via the "Image Gallery", leading to a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability. The exploit can be triggered when any user accesses the public API endpoint of the malicious SVG images, or if the malicious images are embedded in an `iframe` element, during a widget creation, deployed to any page of the platform (e.g., dashboards), and accessed during normal operations. The vulnerability resides in the `ImageController`, which fails to restrict the execution of JavaScript code when an image is loaded by the user's browser. This vulnerability can lead to the execution of malicious code in the context of other users' sessions, potentially compromising their accounts and allowing unauthorized actions.
