Sydney Film Festival (SFF) is one of the longest-running film festivals in the world, screening narrative feature films, documentaries and short films over 12 days and nights. The Festival takes place at SFF’s flagship venue the State Theatre, as well as cinemas in the CBD, Newtown, Cremorne and more. In 2019 SFF showcased over 250 films across 500+ sessions. Twelve films are selected for the Official Competition, which celebrates “courageous, audacious and cutting-edge” cinema with a $60,000 cash prize. Several other cash awards are presented over the course of the Festival. SFF also runs the Travelling Film Festival year-round, taking the best of international and Australian cinema to regional centres around the country.

Versa SASE Client for Windows versions released between 7.8.7 and 7.9.4 contain a local privilege escalation vulnerability in the audit log export functionality. The client communicates user-controlled file paths to a privileged service, which performs file system operations without impersonating the requesting user. Due to improper privilege handling and a time-of-check time-of-use race condition combined with symbolic link and mount point manipulation, a local authenticated attacker can coerce the service into deleting arbitrary directories with SYSTEM privileges. This can be exploited to delete protected system folders such as C:\\Config.msi and subsequently achieve execution as NT AUTHORITY\\SYSTEM via MSI rollback techniques.
