His idea was to collect paper scraps from various factories, stitch them together and sell them at a fair price as pads. The pad evolved into the modern legal pad when a local judge requested for a margin to be drawn on the left side of the paper. Around the turn of the century NotePads had become a part of everyday business. In the twenties and thirties they developed into a proven marketing tool and a perfect way to get in front of one’s customer. Demand in the non profit and the hospitality sectors has made USA-NotePads one of the largest pad manufacturers in the United States, with the capabilities to produce over 1 million pads per day.
