A planetary emergency demands an unprecedented response. Our new collections, science and digitisation centre at Thames Valley Science Park, Reading will be a gateway to the natural world, widening access to vital information to deliver innovative solutions to global challenges. With over 80 million objects spanning planetary to microscopic scales, billions of years to fractions of a second, genes to ecosystems and microminerals to mountain ranges, the Museum's collection is a powerful scientific tool. It drives our understanding of the planet, how it looked in the past and how it is changing, and provides a window into evidence-based solutions for our future. We want to protect and continue to expand and improve access to this vast data resource for scientists and researchers all over the world. We will move 28 million specimens and over 600m3 of accompanying Library material to a groundbreaking new centre for the study of natural history at Reading. We will work with partners to harness novel technologies and analysis techniques to gain new insights into the natural world and supercharge digitisation of the collections.

Shaker Heritage Society

25 Meeting House Road, Albany, NY, 12211, US
Last Update: 2025-12-01

Shaker Heritage Society is an education and historic preservation organization. The Society’s mission isto enrich the Capital Region by engaging the community with the founding home and enduring values of the Shakers. We do this by working to preserve the Watervliet (Albany) Shaker National Historic District, site of America’s first Shaker settlement, and by providing education programming to encourage interest in Shaker history and its influence on American culture. The Albany site is significant for numerous reasons. Numerous Shaker technological and marketing innovations were developed here including the garden seed industry, flat broom and vacuum sealed tin cans. Shakers developed innovative planned communities that emphasized gender and racial equality. Their furniture, music and art inspired numerous important artists ranging from Nathanial Hawthorne to Pablo Picasso and Aaron Copeland. The Society is working with property owner, Albany County to revitalize the publicly accessible portion of the Historic District which includes nine historic structures & an important Shaker cemetery. The landscape retains much of its original rural character including an apple orchard, herb garden and open pastureland. The property also encompasses portions of Shaker Creek and the Ann Lee Pond Nature Preserve. The Society offers high quality educational programs for diverse audiences and its popular craft fairs support numerous local handicraft businesses. Our farm program introduces visitors to Shaker agricultural traditions through the presence of heritage breeds of turkeys, chickens and oxen.

Description

vLLM is an inference and serving engine for large language models (LLMs). Prior to 0.11.1, vllm has a critical remote code execution vector in a config class named Nemotron_Nano_VL_Config. When vllm loads a model config that contains an auto_map entry, the config class resolves that mapping with get_class_from_dynamic_module(...) and immediately instantiates the returned class. This fetches and executes Python from the remote repository referenced in the auto_map string. Crucially, this happens even when the caller explicitly sets trust_remote_code=False in vllm.transformers_utils.config.get_config. In practice, an attacker can publish a benign-looking frontend repo whose config.json points via auto_map to a separate malicious backend repo; loading the frontend will silently run the backend’s code on the victim host. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.11.1.

fastify-reply-from is a Fastify plugin to forward the current HTTP request to another server. Prior to 12.5.0, by crafting a malicious URL, an attacker could access routes that are not allowed, even though the reply.from is defined for specific routes in @fastify/reply-from. This vulnerability is fixed in 12.5.0.

Description

Angular is a development platform for building mobile and desktop web applications using TypeScript/JavaScript and other languages. Prior to 21.0.2, 20.3.15, and 19.2.17, A Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability has been identified in the Angular Template Compiler. It occurs because the compiler's internal security schema is incomplete, allowing attackers to bypass Angular's built-in security sanitization. Specifically, the schema fails to classify certain URL-holding attributes (e.g., those that could contain javascript: URLs) as requiring strict URL security, enabling the injection of malicious scripts. This vulnerability is fixed in 21.0.2, 20.3.15, and 19.2.17.

Description

Portkey.ai Gateway is a blazing fast AI Gateway with integrated guardrails. Prior to 1.14.0, the gateway determined the destination baseURL by prioritizing the value in the x-portkey-custom-host request header. The proxy route then appends the client-specified path to perform an external fetch. This can be maliciously used by users for SSRF attacks. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.14.0.
