The Endangered History Project, Inc., is a California not-for-profit, educational, public benefit corporation whose mission is to locate, identify or generate any form of media that is or could be in danger of vanishing. Volunteers and, eventually, paid contractors, work to preserve written and printed materials, photographs, films, videos, maps, graphics and all forms of artwork. Also, the organization preserves the most basic medium, the spoken word and human memory, by conducting video and audio oral histories and making them available to family members as well as to researchers. The Endangered History Project, Inc., provides training to anybody or any public or civic organization on how to conduct oral history interviews, how to locate and interpret public or private documents, how to produce documentaries, how to preserve media and how to teach others to teach these things.

Description

ThingsBoard in versions prior to v4.2.1 allows an authenticated user to upload malicious SVG images via the "Image Gallery", leading to a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability. The exploit can be triggered when any user accesses the public API endpoint of the malicious SVG images, or if the malicious images are embedded in an `iframe` element, during a widget creation, deployed to any page of the platform (e.g., dashboards), and accessed during normal operations. The vulnerability resides in the `ImageController`, which fails to restrict the execution of JavaScript code when an image is loaded by the user's browser. This vulnerability can lead to the execution of malicious code in the context of other users' sessions, potentially compromising their accounts and allowing unauthorized actions.
