The Mid-Hudson Discovery Museum is the ideal destination for families with children. With exhibits that focus on early literacy, art, early STEM, health and the local community, the museum welcomes over 80,000 visitors each year and provides an educationally rich environment through which children have the opportunity engage in purposeful play. The museum is dedicated to engaging and serving a diverse audience of families from all socio-economic and ethnic backgrounds, and of all abilities and needs through special admission and membership programs. In February 2016 MHDM opened both The Science Center @ MHDM and The Children's Garden @ MHDM. In February 2017, MHDM launched the Poughkeepsie Waterfront Market, a new public farmers market to connect city residents and families with fresh, locally produced food. In 2022, the Museum rebranded itself from the Mid-Hudson Children's Museum to the Mid-Hudson Discovery Museum (MHDM), which reflects a broadened effort to serve children during their early stages of development and learning. With the addition of its new science exhibition, Science Revealed!, combined with richer and more relevant STEM programming, MHDM aims to elevate a child's ability and appreciation for learning through age 12. The Mid-Hudson Discovery Museum is an independent 501(c)3 not-for-profit educational organization that is supported by admission, membership, and program fees, donations and grants. MHCM is a member of the American Alliance of Museums (AAM), the Association of Children’s Museums (ACM), and the Association of Science-Technology Centers (ASTC) and the Museum Association of New York (MANY) On Twitter: @MHCM_inPOK

Description

ImageMagick is free and open-source software used for editing and manipulating digital images. Prior to 7.1.2-9 and 6.9.13-34, there is a vulnerability in ImageMagick’s Magick++ layer that manifests when Options::fontFamily is invoked with an empty string. Clearing a font family calls RelinquishMagickMemory on _drawInfo->font, freeing the font string but leaving _drawInfo->font pointing to freed memory while _drawInfo->family is set to that (now-invalid) pointer. Any later cleanup or reuse of _drawInfo->font re-frees or dereferences dangling memory. DestroyDrawInfo and other setters (Options::font, Image::font) assume _drawInfo->font remains valid, so destruction or subsequent updates trigger crashes or heap corruption. This vulnerability is fixed in 7.1.2-9 and 6.9.13-34.
