Medavia generates and manages press coverage. Our clients are individuals at the centre of media attention, as well as organisations or charities who want to raise awareness about what they do. We were founded to fill a gap between PR companies – which can lack the journalistic experience needed to execute effective media campaigns – and news organisations, where the interests of the individual are secondary to “getting the story”. At our core is a team of journalists – we have all worked extensively for the national press and, in some cases, in broadcasting too. From offices in central Bristol, Medavia has well-respected links with UK and international editors at newspapers, magazines and television stations. Medavia owes its unrivalled reputation for sincerity and loyalty to late Fleet Street legend and Medavia founding partner David Thomas, or Tommo as he was widely known. He died in 2013 but his ethos remains at the heart of the company. We’re proud to continue his inspiring legacy daily through our professionalism and positivity.

Description

ThingsBoard in versions prior to v4.2.1 allows an authenticated user to upload malicious SVG images via the "Image Gallery", leading to a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability. The exploit can be triggered when any user accesses the public API endpoint of the malicious SVG images, or if the malicious images are embedded in an `iframe` element, during a widget creation, deployed to any page of the platform (e.g., dashboards), and accessed during normal operations. The vulnerability resides in the `ImageController`, which fails to restrict the execution of JavaScript code when an image is loaded by the user's browser. This vulnerability can lead to the execution of malicious code in the context of other users' sessions, potentially compromising their accounts and allowing unauthorized actions.
