Make Believe was established by Joel Kern in 2004 and began with just five children. We have since grown the brand across a variety of platforms both on and offline. We currently have 3500 students attending our classes weekly with the aim to build on their confidence and self-esteem whilst teaching skills for life. With an international presence in both the UK and Australia we are proud to have a full-service creative hub delivering capabilities across a whole variety of areas including; production, talent management and events. We have produced shows at The O2, Elstree Studios and the Novello Theatre whilst taking our talent platform ‘One Dream’ to Israel in line with Eurovision. Our clients include; Intu Shopping Centres to Saatchi & Saatchi, Haribo, Nike, Samsung and Coca-Cola. Students have gone on to star in Pricilla Queen of the Desert, A Dolls House, On Your Feet, The King & I, Lord of the Flies and Thriller Live. We manage educational programmes for our partners throughout China welcoming students annually from Beijing, Chengdu, Shenzhen and Shanghai. Since our establishment I am proud to have welcomed 25000+ young people to be a part of the Make Believe journey. Northern Ballet is a powerhouse for inventive dance and winner of Best Company in the inaugural Taglioni European Ballet Awards in 2014, winner of The South Bank Sky Arts Dance Award 2016. Based in Leeds, Northern Ballet is one of the UK's best-loved companies and an important international cultural ambassador. We are renowned for creating inventive narrative ballets and for touring these throughout the UK and overseas reaching audiences who might otherwise not have access to world-class dance. Northern Ballet is based on Quarry Hill in central Leeds in a purpose-built six storey centre for dance which we share with Phoenix Dance Theatre. Our home won the 2011 National Lottery Award for Best Arts Project voted for by the public. It is home to the Stanley & Audrey Burton Theatre showing an exciting programme of live dance, music, and theatre. Northern Ballet offers exceptional facilities and flexible options for conferences, meetings, formal dinners, parties and performances for up to 270 people. We have 7 large dance studios, meeting rooms, catering services, free WiFi throughout and breathtaking views of the city. We can offer team building packages and our experienced creative and events team will ensure any event is a success.
