I started my law practice with the singular focus of assisting companies with the acquisition and sale of complex technologies. I specialize in negotiating technology agreements. In my career, I’ve been fortunate to represent both buyers and sellers of technology services and intellectual property, giving me valuable perspective on both sides of these deals. My experience allows me to craft creative solutions to the myriad problems that arise during technology-acquisition negotiations. For companies looking to buy technology, intellectual property or cloud and professional services, I like to function as another member of the in-house team, working collaboratively with the legal team and internal stakeholders that will ultimately use the technology or services. I find that the earlier I can get involved in a project — helping to scope RFP’s and solicit vendors — the more value I can bring to the endeavor. However, I can also backfill a resources gap and help close deals that have been advanced and just need a hand to fill in and complete execution. For technology vendors, my years as a technology business development executive assists me in working closely with Sales team members. I provide rapid turnaround of contract drafts and maintain a “customer friendly” demeanor, even when negotiating difficult contract terms with buyers.
