Jamii (Swahili for “community”) is a not-for-profit organization founded in 2011. Jamii’s mandate is to enhance The Esplanade community’s vitality with outdoor programming especially focusing on arts engagement. Jamii’s award winning programming is a mix of various creative programs that foster a sense of pride of and belonging to The Esplanade, offer opportunities for social interaction, encourage people to (re)claim ownership of our public space and contribute making our youths the next generation of leaders.
