Publishers of innovative rural and farming lifestyle publications across New Zealand. Technology advances are sometimes blamed for the demise of the smaller rural community. We believe that the reverse can also be true. We know that technology can be used to build and create cohesion within small communities. More affordable than ever, the tools to bind vibrant rural towns are now accessible, making it highly efficient to create dynamic print and digital publications that engage with our stories. New Zealand has been largely developed on the back of the agriculture and horticulture industries, and we know that with the world demand for quality food products, that the future of New Zealand will be even more reliant on a strong connected rural sector. We believe in successful rural communities. We believe that our technology-driven publications and media centres can assist in building them.

Prospero Editore

Via della Stampa, Novate Milanese, 20026, IT
Last Update: 2025-11-21

Description

ThingsBoard in versions prior to v4.2.1 allows an authenticated user to upload malicious SVG images via the "Image Gallery", leading to a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability. The exploit can be triggered when any user accesses the public API endpoint of the malicious SVG images, or if the malicious images are embedded in an `iframe` element, during a widget creation, deployed to any page of the platform (e.g., dashboards), and accessed during normal operations. The vulnerability resides in the `ImageController`, which fails to restrict the execution of JavaScript code when an image is loaded by the user's browser. This vulnerability can lead to the execution of malicious code in the context of other users' sessions, potentially compromising their accounts and allowing unauthorized actions.
