About Us: Great Lakes Label, a Grand Rapids, Michigan-based label printer, has grown its operation from founder Tony Cook’s closet in 1994 to a 23,000 square foot facility running five presses. What started as a business to provide industrial labels for companies like General Electric began to grow along with its long-term customer relationships, some spanning 10 to 15 years. The Great Lakes Label research and development team worked closely with these valued customers with a goal to understand label production better than any other player in the industry. This laser focus has led to a successful expansion of its color capabilities and overall expertise, and has allowed Great Lakes Label to widen its service offerings to successful ventures in the food and beverage, health and beauty labeling markets.
