Two time Academy Award®, BAFTA, Emmy, and Peabody winning film production company co-founded by film director Orlando von Einsiedel. We make films, broadcast television and commercials. Grain is not defined by the type of film we make, but by the way we approach storytelling and the kinds of stories we tell. We focus on inspiring narratives of humble heroism from around the world following extraordinary characters whose intimate stories speak to macro issues. A cinematic vision and unprecedented access underpins much of our work, as does rigorous journalism and relationships of trust with the protagonists on the screen. Since our inception in 2006, Grain has gone on to win over 100 international film, television and advertising awards across multiple genres including two Academy Awards®, a BAFTA, an EMMY, a Peabody, a Grierson, IDA Awards, a BIFA and a duPont-Columbia Award for outstanding journalism.
