Gimli International Film Festival
The Gimli International Film Festival (GIFF) is Manitoba’s largest film festival and the biggest rural film festival in Canada, welcoming over 12,000 attendees each July to the shores of Lake Winnipeg. For over two decades, GIFF has been a destination for film lovers and filmmakers alike, celebrating bold storytelling, emerging filmmakers, and community connection. Guests can explore our DIY cinemas throughout Gimli, enjoy unique networking events, and gather for our signature Sunset Beach Screening under the open sky, every night of the festival. Not to mention our various competitions and a lineup of over 100 narrative and documentary features, short film programs, and more! GIFF proudly pays all curated filmmakers minimum IMAA fees. Filmmakers interested in sharing their work can find submission guidelines on our website. Organizations interested in exploring unique and creative marketing opportunities can connect with our team at [email protected] Those who wish to get involved can join our dedicated volunteer community by reaching out to [email protected] If you don’t have time to volunteer but still want to support Manitoba’s vibrant film culture, consider becoming a GIFF Northern Star Donor by visiting gimlifilm.com/donate or directly through CanadaHelps at https://www.canadahelps.org/en/charities/giff/ -- Discover more at gimlifilm.com --
