Founded in 1937, the Gertrude Herbert Institute of Art provides opportunities for visual arts education and develops visual ars awareness and appreciation throughout the greater Augusta community. Housed in historic Ware’s Folly (c. 1818) in downtown Augusta, the Gertrude Herbert Institute of Art functions as the only non-profit contemporary art gallery and visual arts school in the region that offers ongoing studio art classes for all ages. Annually the Institute presents over 30 exhibitions of regional, national, and international contemporary artists and provides quarterly studio classes and workshops for children and adults of all ages in a variety of art mediums. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Ware’s Folly was built by Nicholas Ware, former Augusta Mayor and State Senator. The home is considered one of the finest federal style structures in the Southeast. The structure was home to several distinguished Augusta families until Olivia Herbert, an Augusta winter colonist, purchased the home in 1937. After renovations, Mrs. Herbert donated the structure to the Augusta Art Club in memory of her daughter. The Art Club promptly assumed the name, the Gertrude Herbert Institute of Art, and a new era began. Today the structure’s architectural features shine much as they did in the 1800s displaying the artisanship and detail of a bygone era in contrast to the contemporary artwork exhibitions, thereby creating a unique visual experience.

ABOUT US The USS Missouri Memorial Association, Inc. (the Association) is a non-profit 501(c)3 corporation established in the State of Hawaii in 1994. The two key purposes of the Association were initially: To relocate the USS Missouri (BB-63) to Hawaii to establish, operate and maintain a national memorial commemorating the end of hostilities in World War II to serve as a lasting tribute to the United States Navy’s role in forging world peace through strength. To operate exclusively for charitable, scientific, literary, religious, or educational purposes, within the meaning of Section 501 (c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986. On May 4th 1998, ownership of the USS Missouri was transferred from the US Navy to the Association through donation contract #N00024-98-C-0201. The ship was towed from Bremerton Washington to Hawaii, arriving June 21st 1998. The ship was opened to the public on January 29th 1999 after six months of repair and restoration. The Association receives no funding from either the U.S. Navy or any other governmental agency for the operations or ongoing maintenance of the ship. Department of Defense grants assisted us in funding the drydock in 2009. Our Mission: The USS Missouri Memorial Association is dedicated to preserving the Battleship Missouri and sharing her story and place in history.

Description

ImageMagick is free and open-source software used for editing and manipulating digital images. Prior to 7.1.2-9 and 6.9.13-34, there is a vulnerability in ImageMagick’s Magick++ layer that manifests when Options::fontFamily is invoked with an empty string. Clearing a font family calls RelinquishMagickMemory on _drawInfo->font, freeing the font string but leaving _drawInfo->font pointing to freed memory while _drawInfo->family is set to that (now-invalid) pointer. Any later cleanup or reuse of _drawInfo->font re-frees or dereferences dangling memory. DestroyDrawInfo and other setters (Options::font, Image::font) assume _drawInfo->font remains valid, so destruction or subsequent updates trigger crashes or heap corruption. This vulnerability is fixed in 7.1.2-9 and 6.9.13-34.
