Youth Ballet of Saskatchewan is both a dance school and a Pre-Professional Company. Youth Ballet is a non-profit organization that has been in operation since 1983. Alumni have danced with Canada's National Ballet School, Royal Winnipeg Ballet, Ballet BC, and Winnipeg Contemporary Dancers. The school offers non-competitive classes for ages 3 and up to adult in Ballet, Modern, Jazz and Hip Hop from September through May each year. The school also offers Royal Academy of Dance examination classes, programs for youth with no prior dance training, and classes for children who experience disability. An annual year-end recital is performed in May at the Conexus Arts Centre. We are committed to smaller class sizes for all of our classes. This means more individualized instruction for students, and a family atmosphere that develops between the students and the instructors. The Summer Dance Workshop brings guest choreographers to Regina each August. The Youth Ballet Company performs at a variety of concerts, artistic and community events around Saskatchewan, and it hosts an annual company performance in November in Regina.
