Our firm provides expert analysis in the area of breath testing and DRE case analysis. Herbert Leckie, JD has over 33 years of experience in “Driving While Under The Influence” investigations. Herb holds a Juris Doctorate Degree from Seton Hall University School of Law (2000) and served as the Student Bar Association President (1999-2000). Herb is also a graduate of Rutgers University with honors - BS in the Administration of Justice. Herb retired as a Sergeant from the New Jersey State Police after 20 years of service. He was last assigned to the Alcohol Drug Test Unit. Herb’s expertise allows him to evaluate both alcohol and drug-related DWI Matters. He has extensive experience in a number of breath testing instruments including the Alcotest 7110 MK III-C instrument. As an instructor in the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests (SFST’s), Herb has the ability to evaluate the proper administration and scoring of the tests administered in DWI Investigations. Our office can also evaluate the propriety of “Refusal” cases including procedural issues related to the Subjective Refusal charge. Herb is a former Drug Recognition Expert Instructor and can evaluate cases in which your client has been charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs (both illicit and prescription). We also handle blood cases as it relates to procedural issues concerning the request for, and the handling of, the blood sample.
