COMIC COMPANY - HEALTH INFORMATION FOR ALL Comic Company produces and distributes a wide range of humorous and innovative resources with the aim of improving public health and well-being. It is a partnership between Philip Boys, Maggie Jee & Corinne Pearlman. Between them, they have professional experience in public health, health education, research & evaluation, teaching, publishing, and art and design. Comic Company is used by a wide range of agencies, including: Health promotion Schools, colleges, universities Sure Starts Health centres & surgeries Nutrition & dietetics Smoking cessation Alcohol & drug advice centres Prisons & young offender units Environmental health Play centres Information centres Youth clubs Occupational health Connexions Caterers Pharmacies Dental clinics Clients that have commissioned Comic Company to create public health campaigns include FPA (Family Planning Association), British Dietetic Association, Health Education Authority, Southwark Council, Welsh Assembly Government. Comic Company resources are widely-known for their strong visual character. They are illustrated by some of the UK's finest comic artists, including Geoff Coupland (aka Zeel), Flix Gillett, Graham Higgins (Pokkettz), Ed Hillyer (Ilya), Corinne Pearlman, Andy Pearson, and Woodrow Phoenix. Philip Boys writes many of the resources. Other writers include Pauline Armstrong, Anthony Berman, Tim Pilcher, and Meg Rosoff.
