Citizens' Committee for Children of New York
Citizens’ Committee for Children of New York (CCC) is a nonprofit and nonpartisan organization which advances well-being, equity, and justice for all of New York’s children through research, advocacy, and civic engagement. What makes CCC’s approach to child advocacy unique is our use of data and research combined with the best features of public policy advocacy and a tradition of community activism that dates back to its founding over 80 years ago by Eleanor Roosevelt and other concerned New Yorkers. Together with community members from diverse backgrounds and perspectives, we identify barriers to child and family well-being and mobilize around policy, legislative, and budgetary solutions that drive positive systemic change. Our advocacy elevates and centers the experiences of New York’s children, youth, and families, working together towards a city and state in which every child is healthy, housed, educated, and safe.
