BulletProof Film is a producer of award-winning original documentaries, music videos, and fiction films. Based in Chicago, the film production company and post-production facility includes a full-service, seasoned team. With its staff of writers, producers, directors, editors, cinematographers, animators, and sound location and post-production professionals, they have produced a variety of high-quality products. BulletProof Film has produced and edited award-winning documentaries such as "Sacred Sounds" (2000), a feature documentary about world sacred music; "About Face" (2005), a feature documentary exploring German and Austrian Jewish refugees who fought in the Second World War; "The Story of Rock 'N' Roll Comics" (2005), a documentary on comic book publisher Todd Loren; and "Children in Exile" (2007), a film on the children exiled to the Soviet Gulag prison camps. Most recently, they produced and edited "William S. Burroughs: A Man Within". The New York Times’ Stephen Holden wrote: “There is not a word or image wasted in this documentary. It is a kind of genealogy of hip. The film tries to humanize an author whom it is too easy to view as an avenging nihilist, a black hole of icy misanthropic contempt.”
