At BAX, we strive to provide a nurturing, year-round, performance, rehearsal and educational venue in Brooklyn that encourages artistic risk-taking and stimulates dialogue among diverse constituencies. BAX was founded in 1991, as a small, pioneer arts organization on an industrial block in the Gowanus area of Brooklyn. In 1998, BAX moved to lower Fifth Avenue in Park Slope, Brooklyn to accommodate a growing demand for services. By 2006, BAX had achieved most of its programmatic and infrastructure expansion goals and seized the opportunity to expand to a second floor and create THE BAX BUILDING. BAX currently has seven full-time and five part-time employees, a roster of 24 teaching artists, four interns and volunteers.

Creative Futures is a charity with a proven track record of delivering inspiring and impactful music and arts projects for children, young people and families from all backgrounds. Our programmes boost learning and wellbeing and bring together families who feel isolated in their communities. With increasing challenges around childhood mental health and wellbeing, and persistent attainment gaps between the least and most disadvantaged children as they start school, our programmes offer creative and inspiring solutions. Every project is devised specifically to meet the needs of its participants and delivered by professional practitioners from our wide network of brilliant artists. Our programmes have had a profound impact on thousands of children, young people and families in London and the southeast, and we aim to reach many more in coming years. "We have seen such huge changes in the children's language and development and that is all thanks to the music sessions" (Early Years Professional) Please visit our website to donate or to find out more.
