A BSUBAS team Subject Matter Expert (SME) brings significant design and construction experience to the table from enterprise automation strategies to system acceptance test protocols BSUBAS is a key partner during all of the automation systems lifecycle. A primary area of focus for BSUBAS in this role will be supporting the execution of a project with technical input and coordination in the automation field, including design guidance on vendor selection, technologies, configuration and testing\commissioning of site automation systems. BSUBAS considers building automation systems (BAS) to include comfort heating and cooling (HVAC), air quality and exhaust systems, lighting controls, automatic shade control, metering and sub-metering, visualization/annunciation (alert) systems, related PLC/SCADA systems and others. A BSUBAS team SME assigned as the lead on a project will attend key design meetings, provide design input and technical options analysis. BSUBAS functions within a projects multi-disciplinary automation teams, and the SME role may shift during the various lifecycles within a project.
