Effective June 2023, Sanlam increased shareholding in the AfroCentric Group to 60%, becoming a majority shareholder. Companies within the Group include Medscheme, South Africa’s largest health risk management provider and one of the country's leading medical scheme administrators, for clients such as Bonitas, Fedhealth, GEMS and Polmed. Other companies in the health administration and managed care solutions include Klinikka, Aid for AIDS (AfA) and Denis. Within Pharmaceutical Solutions, Pharmacy Direct stands as AfroCentric's largest company and the country’s largest courier pharmacy, servicing both the private and public sectors. Additional companies include Activo Health, Curasana, Forrester Pharma and Scriptpharm. AfroCentric Corporate Solutions, now known as Sanlam Health, oversees the Group’s Corporate Health offering.
