The Museum of North Idaho (MONI) preserves and illuminates our past to inspire our future. MONI serves as the regional historical society with a research library including historical photos and archives. Contact the Museum for an appointment. The Museum of North Idaho Press publishes regional history books. Visit the Museum of North Idaho to discover the fascinating history of the Coeur d'Alene Region. Exhibits explore the Coeur d'Alene Indian Tribe, steamboats, railroads, communities, recreation, Forest Service, Farragut Naval Training Station, the Ice Age Flood and early explorers. The Museum Store features local history books, souvenirs and products crafted by local artisans.
